Hazreti İsa'nın dirilişinden (resurrection) sonra ilk görüldüğü yerin Emnaus köyü civarında olduğu İncil'de (Luka 24: 13-35) yazmaktadır. Bu nedenle, Hristiyanların ziyaret ettikleri kutsal mekanlardan biri olup gravürde de bu ziyaretler resmedilmiştir.
It is written in the Bible (Luke 24: 13-35) that the place where he first appeared after the resurrection of Jesus Christ was around the village of Emnaus. For this reason, it is one of the holy places visited by Christians and these visits are also depicted in the engraving.
